Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Sheila! I only worked half a day today so Sheila and I can celebrate her birthday while Lauren was at daycare. We had lunch at Lonestar Steakhouse (the steak was a little salty but still good). We really don't have much opportunities to go out to eat and not worry if Lauren will cooperate long enough for us to enjoy our food. After lunch we watched a movie - Chicago. At first I was not too thrilled about watching this movie but it was pretty good. Sheila and I would like to see the broadway version. Hmm, maybe we can go up to NY and have the NJ Cayetanos babysit?

Fun Fun Fun

Lauren seems to be really having a lot of fun at daycare. When we pick her up from daycare, she doesn't come running to us like she used to. Now she'll just look at us and go back to playing. When I picked her up yesterday, she crawled to me in a playful way (pretending she was a little baby). Maybe she saw one of the infants crawling around and decided to copy. She seems to be doing a lot of copying nowadays. She literally watches what we do and tries to mimic every move we make. I've got to be careful what I do because Lauren might just be watching and studying me.

Goodnight Moon

I read Goodnight Moon to Lauren each night before she goes to sleep. It's part of her bedtime routine. She loves this book. She tries to read it and it sounds like "Na-ku" for goodNIGHT MOOn. She turns each page and says this. She's sooo cute! I love her so much.

Giggle Gaggle

Lauren is so much fun nowadays. We can always get her to laugh. I love to just put her on my shoulders and walk around the house. She loves it and laughs while we march around the house singing to the tune of "The Ants Go Marching One By One, Hurrah! Hurrah!"

Scrapbooks

We went to the local scrapbook shop today. There are some hard core scrapbookers out there. We saw one lady literally wheeling in a rolling file cabinet into the store (maybe for a class or something). There were some pretty cool designs out there. Lauren just walked around the store just eyeing all the neat stickers and other scrapbook materials. She did pick out a scrapbook idea book (which we did not want to get) and she didn't let go of it for a while so we just waited until she put it down.
